9. Harold Henthorn
It was their 12th wedding anniversary when Harold Henthorn pushed his wife Toni off the edge of a cliff. He tried to make it seem like an accident, but the evidence collected against him proved otherwise. In fact, Harold’s biggest slip up was marking the spot where the murder would take place on a map. Harold had a clear cut motive for killing his wife; he was set to collect $4.7 million dollars in life insurance money upon Toni’s death. In December 2015, Henthorn was sentenced to life in prison. Another twist to the case, Henthorn’s first wife also died under mysterious circumstances. That case is currently being investigated.
